THE MOST ORIGINAL SUMMER FESTIVAL

The Festival de la Lavanda began as a meeting between friends and families to celebrate the harvest of the lavender flower, which takes place every July when the plantations are dyed in a beautiful violet. With the sunset and the fields in the background, we used to gather dressed in white and celebrated the new season with music and laughter.

A few years ago the Festival opened to the public, offering its attendees a spectacular evening of light, melody and gastronomy.

THE LAVENDER HARVEST

THE CRAFTSMANSHIP OF THE HARVEST

During the month of July we started the harvest under the hot sun. Taking advantage of every ray of light that permeates our fields. With all delicacy, millions of flowers will be collected, passed through the still to extract its essence and integrated in the world’s most elegant perfumes. We will leave behind a year of pampering and care savviness, acquired after more than 75 years of experience and know-how.

BRIHUEGA, THE PURPLE SEA OF ALCARRÍA

With nearly 1,000 hectares of plantation that account for approximately 10% of world production, Brihuega (Guadalajara) has become one of the largest producers of lavender internationally.

This great extension of color and scent has become the passion of all those who visit us. Therefore, the press highlights the «purple sea» as one of the most impressive and amazing places to discover in summer. The lavender fields can be seen from many points around the entire town of Brihuega. They are private properties, so if it is of your interest, the  Town Hall of Brihuega organizes guided tours. Please respect this miracle of nature, do not pick flowers and do not leave any kind of residue.
